‘CASTAWAY’

This project involved the search for former cast, crew and extras of the ABC television series ‘Castaway’. Thirteen episodes of the series were filmed on location in Port Macquarie in 1973.

​

The result of the search was a collaboration with others to stage a one day event in Port Macquarie, held in September 2017, which included a morning walk over the main location where the series was filmed, an afternoon public Q&A with cast, crew and extras and an evening public screening of selected episodes from the series.

​

The culmination of this project, for archival purposes, was the production of a DVD of the one day event - the fourteenth episode, the working title being Return of the Castaways.
